Elon Boms is the Managing Director of the Pritzker Vlock Family Office. A seasoned investment professional, Elon has led over 250 investments across a range of industries and geographies. Along with Karen Pritzker and Michael Vlock, Elon is the co-founder of LaunchCapital, a premiere seed stage investment fund with offices in Boston, New Haven and New York. In the last 10 years, Elon has helped raised over $2.5 billion dollars of capital for leading and emerging companies and has been involved in over $1 billion dollars of M&A transactions. Since 2008, Elon’s firm recorded an IRR that places them in the top 10% of venture funds worldwide. He is currently managing a robust portfolio of leading technology, consumer, medical device and biotech including companies such as Valerion, award-winning Arccos Golf, Gelesis, Adimab, Pico Quantitative Trading, Snap, Spotify, and more.
An industry expert, Elon has taught courses at the Yale School of Management on Private Equity and Venture Capital and on Entrepreneurial Finance. Elon is an active board member to over 10 companies and the Chairman of LaunchCaptial. He is also an active member of the community, sitting on the board of ACIR – an organization focused on investor responsibility at Yale University. Elon earned his BA in Economics from George Washington University and his MBA with distinction in Venture Capital and concentration in finance and strategy from Yale School of Management. Karen Pritzker is an accomplished businesswoman, investor, philanthropist, social entrepreneur, and film producer. Having learned the ropes at a young age as the daughter of a business legend, she has been the force behind a diverse array of ventures in market-leading technologies and companies for more than 25 years, seeing through the success of at least 100 entities, including Alopexx, Valerion, Gelesis and Pico Trading. Along with husband Michael Vlock and Elon Boms, she co-founded LaunchCapital, a premiere seed-stage investment firm with a portfolio of over 200 technology, consumer, medical device, and biotech companies. In addition, she is the Chairman of the Board of the Colson Associates, a medical device conglomerate that generates approximately $500M in revenue annually and employs over 1,000 people.
As president of the Seedlings Foundation, Karen’s investments extend beyond corporations and technologies and into social and community good works. A devoted philanthropist, her positive impact can be felt in the fields of education, mental health, and healthcare. Karen is currently serving on the board of Grameen America, an organization that provides no-interest loans to women entrepreneurs in underserved communities. She also co-founded Truth in Advertising, a consumer advocacy organization. Karen helped establish the Yale Center for Dyslexia & Creativity, which advocates for those with dyslexia and aims to educate others about dyslexia. Beyond that, she has produced three of the highest selling educational videos on topics in education and mental health. She earned BA at Northwestern University. Today, she an avid traveler, reader, and mother of four adult children.

Jason Gray is a Vice President of the Pritzker Vlock Family Office. He is responsible for evaluating investments and for portfolio company management. Previously, Jason was the Vice President of Portfolio Operations at PVFO’s early stage fund, LaunchCapital, where he was responsible for evaluating new investments and helping manage the 130-company rich portfolio. As a member of LaunchCapital’s leadership team, Jason was integral in making investments in over 20 new companies and an additional 13 investments in later stage companies. Prior to joining the PVFO organization, Jason served in management roles at Bridgewater Associates, which is the world’s largest hedge fund with over $160B assets under management.
Jason has also held key operational roles where he scaled fast-growing teams on two presidential campaigns. In 2012 for President Obama’s re-election campaign, Jason helped build the field organization from a staff of 5 to over 200 in a key battleground state. In 2016 for Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign, Jason managed a team across nine battleground states responsible for scaling the campaign organization, and led the launch and implementation of new nationwide voter contact programs. He holds an MBA with Distinction from Harvard Business School and BA & MA degrees summa cum laude from Brandeis University. Jason lives with his wife in New Haven CT, where he attempts to cook and play basketball.
